My Short Bio

André Riker is researcher and professor at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and in the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC-UFPA). He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering - Arizona State University (USA) - and holds a summa cum laude doctorate in Information Science and Technologies from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He leads research in the Study Group on Computer Networks and Multimedia Communication (GERCOM UFPA). He has active international collaborations with Arizona State University (USA), the University of Coimbra (Portugal), and Brock University (Canada), in addition to strategic national partnerships (UFGRS, UFRN, FURG). He is the coordinator of multiple national and international research projects. He serves as a reviewer and an active member of program committees for renowned scientific journals and events in computer science. Furthermore, he has authored award-winning papers, receiving "Best Paper Awards" at prestigious international conferences such as IEEE WF-IoT (2024) and IEEE CAMAD (2025). His scientific research expertise covers crucial areas such as Internet-of-Things (IoT) Communication, Cybersecurity applied to communication and Artificial Intelligence models, Data Privacy, Open RAN 5G, Federated Learning, Tiny ML, and Optimization Models (Game Theory and Simulated Annealing).
